immediac is looking for a Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of managing software development projects from conception to completion while ensuring systems are analyzed, designed, and implemented to meet client needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading meetings, gathering requirements, and working closely with both clients and our development team to ensure projects stay on track. This position will start as an in-person role at our downtown Halifax office with the option for remote after a probationary period.

The position responsibilities include:

  • Build a relationship of trust with clients
  • Attend all client meetings related to a project
  • Assist in defining project requirements during the quoting phase
  • Lead initial project meetings to clarify client needs and define key features
  • Collaborate with UX designers to create mockups and wireframes
  • Work with the development team to translate requirements into actionable technical solutions
  • Manage project sprints, including creating and maintaining Jira tickets
  • Communicate regular updates to the client as the main point of contact
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring successful project delivery
  • Assist with testing when needed
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope

Requirements:

  • Expert communicator who enjoys client interactions
  • Highly organized, with strong project management skills
  • A problem solver who can bridge the gap between client expectations and technical execution
  • Technical background is strongly encouraged

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Jira or other project management tools
  • Familiarity with Figma and basic wireframing
