immediac is proud to announce our selection as a finalist for the Talent Champion Award at the 2022 Digital Nova Scotia Forward Tech Awards, presented by RBC. This award celebrates companies that strive to develop talent and promote Nova Scotia as a desirable place to live and work. We are honoured to be recognized alongside the leaders of the ICT industry in our province.
At immediac, the team of people we collaborate with is essential to our work. A team of engaged and motivated professionals is the key to creating innovative solutions that help our clients. We keep the team engaged with regular employee surveys and team meetings because it’s important that every voice is heard and every concern is addressed. A happy team means a team that produces the best results for our clients. We know how to have fun doing what we do but also take our work seriously.
Co-op students have always been an integral part of what keeps immediac going. By working with Dalhousie University and Nova Scotia Community College, immediac has taken on 19 co-op and work-term students and continues to employ a majority of those students today. Approximately 50% of current employees began their career with immediac as co-op students. immediac is proud of our low turnover rate as we continuously work to build up our employees and help them develop into successful creators.
We prioritize diversity and inclusion in the workplace at immediac. Having diverse views and personalities in the workplace helps foster innovation and creativity. immediac also works to employ new Canadians, assisting them with finding their first job in Atlantic Canada. “The company is more effective, creative and productive because of embracing a diverse team,” says CEO John Leahy. “We are truly better for having the broader perspective that comes from a team with diverse points of view and a variety of experiences. ”
