Atlantic Canada Career Week
Atlantic Canada Career Week is an annual event dedicated to supporting young workers and individuals preparing to enter the workforce across the Atlantic provinces. With the 2023 theme "Your Skills, Your Success, Your Well-being," the goal was to update the existing website to provide relevant materials and resources to empower youth and promote well-being in the workplace.
Highlighting Well-Being
Building upon the existing framework, the updated Atlantic Canada Career Week website introduced new features, information, and resources on the relationship between skills, success, and well-being in the workplace. A new Well-being Career Quiz was implemented. Users who filled in the quiz were given personalized insights into what they might find most fulfilling in a career by focusing on aspects of social, emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
Bilingual Requirements
One critical aspect of the project was ensuring the information was available in both English and French. Using immediaCMS, we were able to effortlessly associate pages between French and English versions of the website. This streamlined process allowed users to toggle between languages with ease, ensuring a user-friendly experience for visitors regardless of their language preference.
